Photo too small
Export at 2100 x 1400 pixels or larger from the original. Do not upscale a small photo.
Skip published its photo specs in partner blog posts from 2021 and 2022. We found no newer official spec page, so this page gives those numbers with their dates.
Updated October 2026
Specs from Skip's July 2022 Menu Mania post and October 2021 photo tips post, checked in October 2026.
Skip's numbers come from its Secret Sauce partner blog. The posts are from October 2021 and July 2022.
We found no newer official spec page. So these are the latest numbers Skip has published, not a guarantee of today's upload rules.
One conflict: the 2021 post gives a square 2400 x 2400 size, while the 2022 guide asks for 3:2 landscape menu photos. Skip does not say which size applies where; we read the square size as the hero image size.
Skip uses its own 3:2 spec. It does not follow the 4:3 dish ratio Just Eat uses.
The 2021 tips post also suggests a 45 degree angle for many dishes, an overhead shot for pizza or soup, and natural, indirect window light.
Skip does not publish a rejection list. These fixes cover the size limits and the content rules it does publish.
Export at 2100 x 1400 pixels or larger from the original. Do not upscale a small photo.
Skip does not accept photos larger than 4000 x 4000 pixels. Resize before you upload.
Crop to 3:2 landscape. Other ratios get cropped in the Edit image window.
Compress the JPG a little. Keep the size at 2100 x 1400 pixels or more.
Photograph the dish you actually sell, as the customer receives it.
Remove open alcohol from the shot. Use only photos you have the rights to.
Edit a photo when it is sharp and only the light or crop is wrong. Reshoot it when it is blurry or too small to export at 2100 x 1400 without upscaling.
The ticket route is for partners without Menu Self-Serve, such as corporate brands and POS-integrated stores.
Keep a set of large landscape originals that your restaurant owns. Crop a fresh copy for each app instead of reusing one export everywhere.
Selling on DoorDash or Uber Eats in Canada too? Each uses a different shape. See the DoorDash photo requirements, the Uber Eats photo requirements, and the delivery platform photo requirements table.

Skip's July 2022 partner guide sets a minimum of 2100 x 1400 pixels at a 3:2 landscape ratio. Photos larger than 4000 x 4000 pixels are not accepted. Files must be JPG or PNG, up to 6 MB.
They are the newest official numbers we found. They come from Skip partner blog posts from 2021 and 2022. Skip has published no newer spec page.
Skip's October 2021 photo tips post says 2400 x 2400 pixels for hero images. That is the only hero size Skip has published.
Not open alcohol. Skip lists no open alcohol, no defamatory or obscene photos, and no illegal activity, including copyright or trademark infringement.
Skip ran a free professional photoshoot offer in late 2021, with sign-up by 30 December 2021. That offer has ended. We found no current free offer.
